Bruce Jowett, V.P. Market Development, Canola Council of Canada informed ‘Ajit Samachar’ about their upcoming events of Canola oil awareness to be started for the people of India.
Canola contains lowest bad fat – BRUCE JOWETT
He stated that India is one of the country, where cooking oil is being used in huge quantity. Keeping in mind the alarming rate of growth of heart diseases and diabetes in the country, it has become utmost important that the cooking oil used should be low in fat and bad cholesterol.
He added that canola oil contains half the amount of fat in comparison to olive oil and has heart healthy omega in high quantities.
It is also apt for deep frying in comparison to other oils because of its high smoking point(242’C).
