Currently, JIVO is India’s largest selling brand of Canola oil. The development of this product begins with the extraction of oil from the Canola seeds followed by its processing in a state-of-the-art bottling plant. It has received the Global Food Safety ISO 22000:2005 certification and is considered to be one of the healthiest cooking oils. Since its introduction in the Indian market in 2011, millions of families have chosen to protect their health and enhance the flavor of their foods by using JIVO Canola oil. Canola oil is a rich source of monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFA) and contains Omega 3 and Omega 6 in the ratio 1:2. It is low in saturated fats as compared to other vegetable oils reducing the risk of heart disease. It also contains an abundant amount of Vitamin E, making it a healthy and nutritious alternative to other cooking oils.

His journey in pursuit of healthy eating alternatives began on one of his visits abroad when he identified the Canola seed as the best possible source of Omega-3. His specialization in Agricultural Sciences had given him enough knowledge about essential nutrients and active ingredients, and he knew that Omega-3 was a very robust ingredient for the heart. With the help of the Canola Council of Canada, he brought Canola oil to India under the trade name ‘JIVO’ to bring about a revolution in healthy cooking oils. Today, JIVO boasts a wide range of Omega-3 enriched products for different strata of the Indian population, its philosophy being “Wellbeing Always”. With realizing the requirement of health products in changing times, Jivo diversified into other ranges of healthy oils like mustard, and olive oil. Through our immense research into the superfoods, we found the caliber in underestimated wheatgrass. Hence, we made an effort to bring to our audiences their daily dose of health supplement into the format of wheatgrass drinks and capsules.

In order to spread the message of health and wellbeing in society, JIVO actively contributes its profits for value-based education, healthcare, and social welfare for the underprivileged rural population.

For-Children-

FOR CHILDREN

Kids all over the world have been deeply affected by the fast-food market and it is becoming increasingly difficult for parents to make their children eat healthy food prepared at home. Canola cooking oil does not impart a strong taste to the food, enabling the flavors of the ingredients to stand out in the dish. Also, the goodness of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids in the oil promotes intelligence and mental concentration in children. In contrast to commercial fast foods, Canola oil helps in reducing belly fat and lowers the risk of metabolic syndrome. It is non-allergenic and its high levels of essential fatty acids help in keeping the skin moisturized.

For-Youth

FOR THE YOUTH

In the present age, we are seeing an immense shift in the mindset of the youth as they choose products that are healthier for their bodies and minds. In this scenario, Canola oil offers the highest percentage of unsaturated or good fats (93%) and a considerably low percentage of saturated or bad fats (7%) as compared to other vegetable oils. It has already earned the status of Canada’s most consumed oil and has captured 80% of the Indian Canola oil market since its introduction in India. Due to its impeccable reputation and credibility, it has been recognized as ‘Heart Smart Cooking Oil’ by the US Food & Drug Administration.

FOR ADULTS

India has a relatively high number of people suffering from heart attacks and cardiac diseases leading to death. According to a survey done in 2016, 28 lakh Indians die each year due to heart diseases. In order to turn these statistics around in the coming years, JIVO introduced Canola oil which has 0% cholesterol, low saturated fats, high Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, and high smoking point. It has been found that the use of just 1.5 tablespoons of Canola oil every day can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. By increasing our consumer base in the Indian population, we hope to achieve the lowest number of recorded heart disease cases in India in the near future.
